The second edition of Miss Uganda UK is back and preparations in high gear. With date and venue fixed. The successor to Shakillah Nabakooza will be crowned on September 29th, 2012. Organizers JM PROMOTIONS have released the list of the 12 finalists.
The beauties will battle it out for the title of Miss Uganda UK. The pageant under the theme promoting BEAUTY, DECENT AND CULTURE focuses on encouraging young women to pave the way for financial freedom through Social Enterprise and working with various charities in the UK and Uganda.
It is much more than just a beauty platform, with emphasis being placed on contestants who demonstrate the ability, commitment to charitable causes and who portray a positive image of the modern Ugandan woman and the beauty of Uganda as a country. The finalists include: Gladys Kyotungire, Anita Mbabazi, Sandrine Lucas, Sandra Kabasambu, Vivien Nassimbwa, Sarah Nakabugo, Alanah Wampamba, Henrietta Lule, Angela Mubanguka, Sandra Nakanwagi, Jacquiline Sempasa & Vivien Kakaire-Kent.

The event has been moved to the more spacious and advanced York Hall in Bethnal Green which is popular with major boxing events.
Miss Uganda UK will be a spectacular platform intended to raise the profile of talented Uganda women and attract tourism and investment into Uganda and the UK through the entertainment industry by encouraging Personal Development and Social Enterprise. The event will also be a platform for identifying & showcasing talented Ugandan & Africans living in the UK. It would offer an opportunity to experience something different and for people to create a unique mix on a social level.
