The Cameroonian will reportedly earn €20 million($28.8 million),(80.2billion uganda shillings) per year
Cameroonian striker, Samuel Eto’o, may emerge the world highest paid football as Italian media says Inter Milan the striker has agreed a three-year contract deal with Russian club, Anzhi Makhachkala, worth €20million,(80,208,000,000.00 Ugshs) per season.
Media reports from Milan indicated the two clubs have agreed on a transfer fee of €27 million(100 bn ugsh).
The deal is larger than the estimated €12 million(48,180,500,000.00 UGsh) that Cristiano Ronaldo gets at Real Madrid and the €10.5 million(42,053,500,000.00 UGsh) that Lionel Messi is paid by Barcelona.
Eto’o, a former FC Barcelona player, moved from the Spanish giants in 2009 to Inter. Last season he scored 37 goals, in all competitions, to top the team’s scorer’s chart.
Anzhi Football Club is based in the southern Russian province of Dagestan, and is owned by billionaire oil tycoon Suleiman. The Cameroonian will team up with former Brazilian left back Roberto Carlos and former Chelsea midfielder Yuri Zhirkov.
He was a key member of the Inter side that won the Champions League in 2010, often accepting an attacking midfield or defensive role for then-Inter coach Jose Mourinho.
Before joining Inter in 2009, Eto’o played five seasons with Barcelona.
